Yet another former to pound and flute. This time the former is made from stainless-steel which is much harder to cut and file than aluminum. Oddly though, it deburrs to leave a very smooth edge. 3/5/00. Bending the SS is easy but it is tough to drill. I used up several sharp new drill bits. 3/5/00. Fitting the windscreen strap was tricky. Fly Before You Buy. Here is your chance to fly an improved version of the Sonex model for Flight Simulator 2000. This version has better graphics than the FS98 version and all the control surfaces are movable. The flight model is unchanged. My previous models will work in FS2000 but the graphics won't look right. Also you do not need the Patch or the Converter when using FS2000. I then take the copy and stick it on to the AL. In this case I have to make two identical parts so I also used the Homebuilder's Friend (double sided tape or carpet tape) to stick two layers of Al together so I only have to cut once. 1/30/00.
