(not my terminology by the way.) because of cinco de mayo? But i don't brush it off - i use the 570 class quite a bit. it's a stretch having these kinds of conversations with students when a few of them barely speak english, but other students interpret. Where i work there's a policy about getting the attendance in on time - 2 times a day. it doesn't matter what you're doing - teaching a lesson, counseling a crying student - it's all irrelevant. because what matters is that the attendance get in on time. But yesterday he forgot about me, and I was on my own - a half hour late with the attendance. She writes my name on the attendance roster, the time, and LATE. she doesn't say anything else.
