Saturday, August 13, 2011. Fishermen Picnic, Wood Shed and Pantry. Well the observatory took a back seat. To a few things on the honey-do list and the annual Grand Marais Fishermen Picnic. Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Black Flies, 3 Birthdays, a Wedding, Dock Repair and Boat Launching. Sorry for the 19 day gap in blog'en but between. Dock repair, pontoon boat launching, 3 birthdays in Minneapolis, visiting grandchildren, a wedding in Omaha, along with multiple trips to Home Depot, Fleet Farm and Northern Tool all ending today with a down and back run to Duluth for a friend, we've been a little busy. Monday, January 06, 2014. Snow, Cold, Repeat and Our Propane is 1/2 Gone. Sorry for the lack of writing but it was a strange summer and having only one somewhat useful arm didn't help matters. Late spring turned into a pretty nice growing season for both flowers and vegetables and we were overall happy with all the gardens. Big summer for ducks on Deeryard,. Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Short Mud Season, Ice Off and Green House. Well I haven't done anything with the observatory in weeks but I do have a boatload of excuses. For the lack of progress. We pretty much got through the mud season in good shape. The snow has been gone for a few weeks and we've had some rain with warm weather, that along with the road work last fall,. Kept everything in good shape. Looking East from our driveway. Snow completely gone at Observatory. Last year this happened on May 5.
