Goodness and Mercy Follow Me All The Days of My Life. The human heart; does anyone truly understand it? Do any of us know the source of our deepest desires, what’s behind the choices we make, or why we do the things we do? I lived many years never asking myself those questions. But once I began, light dawned. Then like clouds gathering on the horizon, questions slowly appeared. Wrestling with a guilty conscience after a run-in with the law I started wondering. I’ve repeated them many times beside a grave surrounded by mourners.
