Story of my journey in watercolour paintings! Sunday, 7 December 2014. Albina: Boats and automobiles. Albina, the border town in Eastern Suriname, is the gateway to French Guyana. I was attracted by the random angles of the boats on its beach. But when I started to study the subject the automobiles on the road posed a problem: should I omit them or include them? I decided to include them as they are part of the atmosphere and tell the character of the town as well as the boats below. 13 July 2015 at 07:54.

My take on the one of the main streets of the historic downtown area of Paramaribo,Surinamese capital, in watercolor. On the street several historical and important buildings such as the Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral-you can see a glimpse of its spires in the painting - as well as some Ministries are situated. Born in Tamil Nadu, India, drawing was a passion for me from my early schooldays. Driven by this passion, I completed a course in drawing from a reputed school in Chennai through correspondence. During my working life I had a chance to visit and experience life in different countries thanks to my wife's diplomatic career. Starting with Holland, my paintings capture landscapes as we continued our journey through Zambia, Ukraine, India, Great Britain, Germany and now Suriname!
