I have made huge strides with my platform and am excited to share what I have been up to. Since I last wrote, I have definitely gotten used to the dark hair and the new length! Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Cheers to the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another! They have allowed me to grow as a person and as an educator, and I will always be thankful for that. A job that I love, colleagues that are rooting for me, and an incredible school? I could not feel more loved and supported going into Miss Iowa. Last but not least, I graduated from the University of Iowa with my Master's of Arts in Secondary Science Education this past Friday. I DID IT! Reasons why I love Iowa.

Sunday, May 24, 2015. Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everyone! I am so excited to finally say that we are in CRUNCH TIME for Miss Iowa! We are only a few short days away from Miss Iowa week kickoff! One of the best parts of Miss Iowa week will be spending the week with the other wonderful contestants. These girls are amazing. Seriously though, Iowa is full of immense talent, and I cannot wait to spend the week with them. Zip lining was so much fun and I am so glad I got to do it side by side with these gals!

Saturday, December 6, 2014. Wow, what can I say about the National Sweetheart Pageant in Hoopeston, IL? I loved every minute of it! A little history about the National Sweetheart Pageant. As is common to most festivals, a pageant was held to name a local girl, chosen by popular vote of the persons in attendance, to reign over the celebration. In 1939, local judges were responsible for selection of the Sweetcorn Queen. 2014 National Sweetheart Contestants with Miss Hoopeston. Driving my first tractor!

Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Miss Iowa Orientation and CMN - Filled Weekend. This weekend was a Miss Iowa/CMN-packed weekend! After an amazing Miss Iowa Orientation with my gorgeous sister titleholders, my supportive Miss Muscatine Board and the beautiful Miss Iowa contestants, I participated at the Loras College Dance Marathon in Dubuque. This dance marathon lasted 12 hours and had over 500 dancers! The Class of 2104 Miss Iowa and Miss Iowa's OT contestants. CMN Hero's Wall from Iowa. Dancing For The Kids!
