Adventures in EmilyWorld: It All Balances Out
http://adventuresinemilyworld.blogspot.com/2013/10/it-all-balances-out.html
Monday, October 7, 2013. It All Balances Out. Yesterday was my birthday (Hint: my age rhymes with schthirtybun) and I had a fabulous weekend celebrating! On Friday night, Marcus threw a wonderful party it was so great to see so many friends in one place! I chose Chicken. And won $75! Since I won right off the bat, I just walked around awkwardly, waiting for my friends to win/lose enough to be done. And to cap off the exciting weekend, Marcus took me to see Jersey Boys on Sunday night. We saw it in Ch...

Adventures in EmilyWorld: Tough Choices and Child Abandonment
http://adventuresinemilyworld.blogspot.com/2013/08/tough-choices-and-child-abandonment.html
Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Tough Choices and Child Abandonment. Several weeks ago my husband and I made plans to go away for a long weekend with friends up north. Sans children. We arranged for my parents to watch the girls and the dog, and we originally thought we'd bring them over Friday late afternoon and pick them up Sunday. Then we find out that we could technically leave sooner, like Friday morning. So I ask my mom if that works. It would. Then, one couple. Oh and my dog too! She told me she wasn'...

Adventures in EmilyWorld: I am That Mom.
http://adventuresinemilyworld.blogspot.com/2013/08/i-am-that-mom.html
Monday, August 5, 2013. I am That Mom. My kids are those. Today I needed to head to Target to pick up a couple of things and just get out of the house. Lena has been taking a super short morning nap the past two days, and if we don't fill up the time, we all start going a little crazy. As I pulled into the parking lot, I saw a woman putting away a cart and told her I'd take it from her. She saw me loading up my kids and said "oh wow! You have your hands full! I replied "Oh, I only have two! Any time she ...

Iron Family: An Experiment in Self-Exploration
http://ironfam.blogspot.com/2013/08/an-experiment-in-self-exploration.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. An Experiment in Self-Exploration. Sunday ended my second week with an official training plan. As I mentioned in a previous post. Last week was emotionally, mentally, and physically draining. I spoke about the anxiety I had before every work out. Some of this improved during week two. The week was less emotional and there was less pre workout anxiety. For the record, I don't sleep at my desk. And don't think sleeping at your desk is. Saturday I had a 10-15 mile ride on the roa...

Iron Family: August 2013
http://ironfam.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 29, 2013. Want to be more Organized? Here is what I have learned from riding the Organization spectrum:. 1 Don't over organize:. Yes, it is possible to over organize. I have been there, done that. Over organizing adds steps, time, thought, space which minimize the efficacy of the organizational solution. Over organizing makes it hard to maintain your process and maintenance is KEY. Examples of OVER organization:. All like colors with like colors? This is over organized. It takes too ...

Out Running the Zombies: March 2014
http://outrunningthezombies.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 24, 2014. Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Another Mother Runner Ragnar. Since running Kiss Me I'm Irish and looking at my other race medals I realized that I really want to keep up with running and doing more races. I really want to one day run the Boston Marathon and it's hard not to think about last year with Boston coming up next month and the fact that I finally started to read Hal Higdon's book on race and bombings. It's available on Amazon. I hope to do The Pat's Run. Sunday, March 16, 2014.

Out Running the Zombies: Making Food from Scratch
http://outrunningthezombies.blogspot.com/2015/01/making-food-from-scratch.html
Sunday, January 4, 2015. Making Food from Scratch. But I found a no kneed bread on pintrest that I had to try because I want to know how to do that. So I tried it and it worked out perfect. I was expecting it to fail but it worked. It tastes good though it's better warm than cold. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Miles I've Ran So Far. Out Running the Zombies: February 2014
http://outrunningthezombies.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 4, 2014. I hope to get some running in before I have my first race of the season in a few weeks, but I wanted to discuss something that has been on my mind. I'm not sure if it's the lack of enjoyment and accomplishment I have at work or that desire to try to grow my own food to see if I can do it. I've been wanting to do this for a while. Though if you let me ramble I want chickens and goats as well to raise and use for their many uses. I'll hopefully update with more progress. What I S...

Saturday, November 15, 2014. Well I'm already in rough shape. Nothing to do with drinking. The first day we did some walking And I was wearing chucks. Now my right calf is really tight and sore. I've been trying to make it better with hot baths and ice. So far no luck. I also have blisters from my dress shoes and walking far in them. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Miles I've Ran So Far.
