At least 80% post-consumer content. More on Procedural Story. On Aug.20, 2009, under Games and Gaming. I was thinking about the BGL09 Procedural Story session, and an interesting idea came to me in the shower, as such ideas are wont to do. Could we perhaps use crowdsourcing to research the problem? At least 80% post-consumer content. On Aug.12, 2010, under Technology. After seeing Georg Zoeller’s phenomenal talk on development telemetry. At GDC, I had a bunch of ideas about data and interesting things to do with it. I’m still working on my streamlined bug reporting tool for NWN2 (ran into a wall dealing with IPC between C# and C ). This post, however, is about a much flashier, much more finished project. Most of the interface was just a matter of pulling several parameters to the HeatMap constructo...

At least 80% post-consumer content. On Aug.16, 2009, under Games and Gaming. Yesterday was Boston Game Loop 2009. It was pretty awesome times! There were a lot of familiar faces, and some cool new ones. The venue (Microsoft’s NERD in Cambridge) was very nice, though it suffers from a shortage of power outlets, and I think they tried to man-in-the-middle my SSH sessions after lunch (someone did, anyway! Business Models for Indies (Audio). Smaller publishers can sometimes be convinced to give you advances.

Carbonated Blog: Text MUDs and PennMUSH
http://www.carbonatedblog.com/2011/08/text-muds-and-pennmush.html
A simple blog by a deaf geek adventurer who drinks way too much carbonated water. Text MUDs and PennMUSH. If you're a geek under 25, odds are very good that your first internet gaming experience was graphical: playing Diablo with your neighbors, blasting tanks apart with your high school friends, maybe even playing Ultima Online, Everquest or World of Warcraft. In 1990, at the age of 10, was when I first got internet access, through my parents. I briefly spent time on BBSes, but then discovered text ...
