A Little About Me. Sewing, craftiness, baking… and a bit about me. May 3, 2012. The Month of May. 🙂 It will be fun though, I’m sure! Matt finished up the laminate flooring last week, and it looks AWESOME in here! Before, the carpet and linoleum lined up exactly with were the two trailers would have been joined together (we live in a double-wide trailer, in a community that is not a trailer park! So yay for home-ownership, and yay for property tax? It still looks great though! Now I just need to decorate!

Diary of a Middle School FACS Teacher and Quilter. Some things I know, some things I dont know and some things I have yet to be learn! Wednesday, March 30, 2011. I don't remember this being a part of teacher training! Okay, so it has been a reallllly long time since my last blog. And who knows, maybe no one but me has really ever looked at it, but while at school today, I was thinking, "I should really blog about this.". You know, there is no light under a sewing machine cabinet, and it was really hard t...

Diary of a Middle School FACS Teacher & Quilter: Hands
http://middleschoolfacsteacherquilter.blogspot.com/2013/10/hands.html
Diary of a Middle School FACS Teacher and Quilter. Some things I know, some things I dont know and some things I have yet to be learn! Thursday, October 10, 2013. Five weeks ago, my little dachshund puppy, Sasha, got under my feet. I lost my balance trying to avoid stepping on her, fell through the metal dog gate and cracked my left wrist. Painful, ,yes! I can't drive so I am stuck at home dependent on friends and family to free me from "exile.". I have two months before I can return to work and so many ...

I can't believe how quickly Summer School has gone by. It has been great this year. No serious behavior issues- what's a little talking- I can deal with that. Most of the other info on their lists wasn't too difficult: main protein food, main veggies, main fruits, spices or flavorings, etc. Next week, we are having a...

Documenting my personal style journey -or- a record of midlife self improvement. So", says Kevin, eyeing my purple J. Crew turtleneck dress as we leave for church, "I wish you would dress sexier for church." I raise my eyebrows. "I wish you would wear tighter clothing." I wait, remembering that his native language is not English. "That dress makes you look like a rectangle. I want to know you're a woman. I want to see some curves.". So, Kevin, this is for you. See how much I love you? Mending, mending .

Sew Filled to the Brim. Saturday, April 19, 2014. Back to it again. I had a refreshing Spring Break last week with my family! Me and my younger brother. Me and my younger (yes, go figure) sister. My daughter and son, pictured on the right (pink and blue). My nieces to the left, minus their baby sister. So now I am back and ready to spring into action! I got my Palmer/Pletsch Fit for Real People. And Pants for Real People. Moving forward, I have decided to only work on my sloper for a few days out of the ...

Sew Filled to the Brim: June 2014
http://sewfilled.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Sew Filled to the Brim. Friday, June 20, 2014. Burdastyle June/July issue faves. I am happy to say I have moved past my sewing funk. It seems that getting into my sewing room, cleaning everything up, re-organizing past/future projects, and seeing what other inspiring bloggers have created, has helped me tremendously to move forward! This V-neck dress is a simple silhouette with a twist- at the side seams. I love the concept, and think it will either be terrible or fabulous! This dress is simply gorgeous!

Tasha Sews: April 2015

Friday, 3 April 2015. Long time no blog! Pattern Review: Vogue 8870. I overcame my lack of sewing mojo in the past month, but it looks as though my blog has been a bit neglected. I am all finished with my March garment of the month, but I haven't had a chance to photograph it yet. To tie you guys over here is an oldie that is yet to make it to the blog. It's a modified version of Vogue 8870. I have previously made this pattern here. And as you can see the bodice is tad more blouson. For this version ...
