MusicByVance.com: Chapman Stick

Is a unique instrument created by Emmett Chapman and first introduced to the world in 1973. The act of fretting a note plays the note so you don't have to pluck or strum. This means you can fret notes with both hands, playing bass parts, chords and melodies all at the same time. You can read about the history here. My Chapman Stick is a Grand Stick made of Koa wood, and it has twelve separate strings (not in double courses like a twelve string guitar). Anyway, on to the music. Money for it or not.

I wrote this on acoustic piano, but then recorded it all on electronic keyboards. I played all the parts, except the drums. This is a progressive tune I did a few years ago. I played all the parts except drums. I'm playing with a progressive rock band, and here is their version of the song included above. This is a very rough early rehearsal.
