The Blog of Scott: Sometimes I Wish I Was Funny
http://scottjisaok.blogspot.com/2009/02/sometimes-i-wish-i-was-funny.html
The Blog of Scott. A blog of first names. Monday, February 16, 2009. Sometimes I Wish I Was Funny. Everybody knows someone who is stinkin' hilarious. I know a lot of those folks, and I love to laugh with them. Sometimes though, I start to get jealous. Why am I not a funny guy? There is no good part. I got you excited for nothing. Sometimes I try to make my stories as bad as possible, hopefully redeeming them with the different kind of funny that makes you laugh at how bad something is. Does that work?

The Blog of Scott: What I do at work
http://scottjisaok.blogspot.com/2008/10/what-i-do-at-work.html
The Blog of Scott. A blog of first names. Monday, October 13, 2008. What I do at work. I do a number of things, so I'll break it down a little:. 2) I interpret the results of testing: We get a bunch of data and then we need to make decisions about it. First we need to figure out what the data is telling us, so often we make a bunch of graphs in excel or matlab (a math program) that make it easier to see trends. 4) I go to meetings: enough said. The Blog of Scott: Social Media: Twitter
http://scottjisaok.blogspot.com/2009/05/social-media-twitter.html
The Blog of Scott. A blog of first names. Sunday, May 3, 2009. I've been thinking a lot lately about social media. Questions like "What role should twitter play in my day to day life? And "What is appropriate to blog about? And "What information should I share on my Facebook profile? Just beg to be answered (if you're me). So I thought I'd give it a shot. Lets start with. Lets start small. Like 140 characters small. At first, I had no idea how to use Twitter. Than a status update. It's a conversation.

The Blog of Scott: My Little Notebook
http://scottjisaok.blogspot.com/2008/11/my-little-notebook.html
The Blog of Scott. A blog of first names. Saturday, November 8, 2008. I discovered that I have subconsciously developed a system for keeping track of things in my notebook. There are a few big rules:. New events get a new underlined title. Every title gets todays date on the left side in the format MM/DD/YY. All the stuff that I find interesting gets a bullet point followed by words. Verses are listed by reference with a brief summary of what it says/application points to the right. An intro to the blog.

The Blog of Scott. A blog of first names. Thursday, April 30, 2009. The Foolishness of Idolatry. God has something to say in Isaiah 44. Thus says the Lord. The King of Israel. And his Redeemer, the Lord. 8220;I am the first and I am the last;. Besides me there is no god. Who is like me? Let him proclaim it. [1]. Let him declare and set it before me,. Since I appointed an ancient people. Let them declare what is to come, and what will happen. Fear not, nor be afraid;. And you are my witnesses! The carpent...

The Blog of Scott: My Wonderful Evening
http://scottjisaok.blogspot.com/2009/05/my-wonderful-evening.html
The Blog of Scott. A blog of first names. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. My mom instant messages me at work and says that some of my aunts and cousins and a sister are getting together for dinner tonight at the Black Forest Inn. I was planning on swimming at the Y then doing a bunch of odd tasks, but decided to spend time with the fam instead. So I grab my bike and head for the Greenway. In their back yard. I met some neighbors! And Kevin live across Irving from us. They are right around my age and both went...

The Blog of Scott: Voicemail
http://scottjisaok.blogspot.com/2009/01/voicemail.html
The Blog of Scott. A blog of first names. Saturday, January 31, 2009. I feel like leaving a message is just one of those things. You know. those things that are.um.awkward. Like when I call someone and they don't answer, I feel awkward. If their phone was on, they now know that I called (missed calls). Do I leave a message? Do I hang up and try again? How long do I wait before trying again? Do I leave a message the second time? Can I expect them to return my call? My solution: always return the call.
