I haven’t totally escaped but I am in a half way place educating a local lord’s daughter on the ways of the castle and the king’s court. It’s a start and has separated me from those who harmed me. Words can light up someone, they can make day to day living in close quarters easier and more pleasant but they can also hurt, harm and destroy.
