I am very fortunate to have been selected to serve as a Pinnacle Leader in my school district. This means that I receive free technology, including 10 iPads for my students, plus a Chromebook, a laptop, and an iPad for me to play with in exchange for participating in a series of professional development and training sessions and passing my new knowledge on to my colleagues. As part of the Pinnacle Leaders program, we also blog about our experiences:. Pinnacle Leader Training Summaries. GUEST POST: Kids T...

Jennifer Geroux's Education Blog. Summer Studies- Keeping the Flame Burning. June 5, 2014. June 5, 2014. I have had a very select few students (my “superstars”) over the past 10 years ask me about things they could do to keep up with their language studies over the summer break. I am always thrilled when I have students ask me this and I scramble to come up with some ideas that don’t involve handing them a textbook. What ideas do you have? Señora Speedy: A quick and easy way to practice emotions
http://senoraspeedy.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-quick-and-easy-way-to-practice.html
About Sra. Speedy. Saturday, May 23, 2015. A quick and easy way to practice emotions. This year learned emotions and how to answer the question ¿Cómo estás? Even though we have moved on we still practice our emotions when we sing. For example, when we do our calendar routine we sing a quick song about the days of the week from Basho and Friends. (The video is 4 minutes long so once students know the tune we just sing it acappella.). Before we start I ask one student ¿Cómo estás? View my complete profile.

French. Learning. Community. Curriculum and instruction in the foreign language classroom. How Should Administrators Support Teachers? January 8, 2015. January 8, 2015. Teachers are leaving in droves because they sense a lack of support from their administration. So what can administrators do to really support teachers? 8221; I am so glad that this teacher did not leave the field of education altogether after such an insulting question. Most people would not work in a field like that. Give us a voice.
