If I Knew What I Was Doing I Wouldn't be Here: Brooklyn
http://ifiknewwhat.blogspot.com/2007/11/brooklyn.html
Saturday, November 10, 2007. A photo from late September, when we attended a Buddhist Peace festival in Prospect Park. I had never been to the actual park before, although I had been through the area many, many years ago. I had forgotten how wonderful the neighborhood around the park is. Many, many beautiful old brownstones lovingly restored like the one above. Right now Blogger is having a meltdown, so I will have to upload the rest later. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, June 12, 2007. Life Alterations or Why I am Not a Credible Person - again? Image: The "Crazy neighbor"/aka CN, sighting down his driveway with a rifle. Across the street is a house where three girls are about to come home from school at the time this was taken.). I am neither a genius nor is "there a thin line between genius and insanity". Time to sell my house, move and sue this town. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). If I Knew What I Was Doing I Wouldn't be Here. My dad used to say that I wa...

Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Stuff I Listened To Last Week – 20 Feb 2011. Every time I listen to a record, I leave it next to the stereo. On Monday, before I go back to work, I re-file them all. Below are the contents of this week's pile. 8211; Music For the Masses. 8211; The Reality of My Surroundings. 8211; The Crickets 20 Golden Greats. Did I say last week that this one really needs an apostrophe in the title? The Jesus and Mary Chain. These guys did not give a fuck. Shameless and brilliant. Buckets ...

Below are the contents of this week's pile. 8211; Check Your Head. I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and say this might have been the defining pop album of the 1990s. The Beasties, specifically with this album, transcended all that. Everybody. Black Moth Super Rainbow. 8211; Dandelion Gum. EPs as best reunion ...

Below are the contents of this week's pile. My dad picked this one thinking it was their first, because the cover has the same photo as the U.S.-only Meet the Beatles. The rest of the album's OK but a little overrated, I think because it followed Blood On the Tracks. 8211; Life Through Bombardment. Odd though this m...

Monday, May 4, 2009. Radioactive Goldfish – "L.S.D. Is the Bomb". I think one of my favourite things that happens while digging through the bins of a used record store is when I come across some weird-looking record I've never heard of that's just too cool to pass up. This is one such record. I found this one upstairs at Louisiana Music Factory. In downtown New Orleans a couple weeks ago. It was five bucks and I mean, come on. Man, like you coulda put that one back? A cursory attempt at research. A hop, ...
