Monday, February 28, 2011. Memories of Yost and Martha Schrock - Part 13. Were the second set of twins born to Amos F. Cripe. And Mary Jane Schrock. They were the grandsons of Yost. And Martha (Plank) Schrock. First I wish to say I heartily endorse this idea. Each of us can help to refresh one another's memories. Those memories are very refreshing when we reach the twilight of our lives. And I would be permitted to go there from school and spend the night and then to school the next day. Went after schoo...

Marilyn's Musings | Wisdom from my heart to yours…
Wisdom from my heart to yours…. It’s been over a year since I returned to America. Seasons have come and gone. Come sit with me – swaying gently to the rhythm of the swing in a gazebo – one season at a time. Perhaps . . . , we will just imagine that we are gliding smoothly in the swing. With the promise of new life that comes with spring, I was anticipating an ending of a long chapter of my life. I was nearing the completion of my thesis written from research that was conducted while I was teaching i...

Musing Martha
Friday, October 7, 2011. When we were invited to spend the weekend with some of my favorite people, we packed right up and went. Well, truthfully, I forgot half my stuff at home, but I blame that on getting up so early every day and thinking a little too much on Daily Seminary. The bike-a-thon was an unexpected bonus. It was great to see Schmillian's school and see her in action with her friends. As you see, mini does not want to be left out of any activity. So he commandeered some other child's bike!

Thoughts concerning the teaching and learning of mathematics. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. No more students for this year. I've spent a full day cleaning up and re-arranging my space for my incoming intern (for whom I'm very excited for). Dear Mr. Banting,. You called me a "genius" in math class once, and that night I went on the web to search up the word and its definition, and I came across this quote. People are in the misconception that geniuses are born, rather than made. Posted by Nat Banting. I do thin...
