Musings: April 2014
http://musingrandom.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Et cetera, et cetera.Haven for half-formed thoughts and misinformed ideas. Oh, and well-formed cynicism. 19 April, 2014. Balance as an aesthete. There's crisp April sunshine, the happy tiredness after a morning run (get back in shape, you ain't the age to be geriatric! And calls home to family. It's weird the way it's dark back home now. And yes, tickets. Tickets for home. Trying out long distance just reinforced the fact to me: I can be as into something as the next guy, but only in short intervals....
Musings: June 2014
http://musingrandom.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Et cetera, et cetera.Haven for half-formed thoughts and misinformed ideas. Oh, and well-formed cynicism. 21 June, 2014. For a person who has spent most of his life rooted to a single city, traveling anywhere. Is both wonderful and a bit of an adrenaline-rush. The travelogue now stands: Calcutta, Amherst, New York, Boston. Anyhow, one more place to be added to the not-so-very-impressive list thanks to aforementioned conference - Columbus, Ohio. That checks off the mid-West. Phew! Links to this post. Young...
Musings: March 2014
http://musingrandom.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Et cetera, et cetera.Haven for half-formed thoughts and misinformed ideas. Oh, and well-formed cynicism. 31 March, 2014. You remind me at times of myself. The crossroads left unexplored. Or the fluttering of kites, slightly damp. Which we soared from a rain-drenched rooftop. That day I would not worry as I write. To close a bracket or dot an 'i':. You were the gaps between my lines. Each silent toast with those cheapest wines,. The nameless harbour for my questing ship. I sit at times and then realize.
Musings: old jokes, new year
http://musingrandom.blogspot.com/2015/01/old-jokes-new-year.html
Et cetera, et cetera.Haven for half-formed thoughts and misinformed ideas. Oh, and well-formed cynicism. 03 January, 2015. Old jokes, new year. The same old jokes, the reassuringly never-changing one-liners and ribbing. That's what the New Year should be about, at this time of life I think. That the best parts of yesteryear. Remain as constant as ever. And the new things ring joyfully close to the old cheer, which gives more a familiar welcome from the sameness. View my complete profile. Tumko yeh naa eh...
Musings: Leaves of grass
http://musingrandom.blogspot.com/2015/08/leaves-of-grass.html
Et cetera, et cetera.Haven for half-formed thoughts and misinformed ideas. Oh, and well-formed cynicism. 07 August, 2015. It was June or July in Calcutta. 2008. I think a part of me still walks around Camac Street in the sweltering heat of a tropical summer, talking glibly of Geurnica, Guevara and Gandalf. It was a time of peace, of dregs of schoolboy humour and many farewells. Why that American poet? The sun was scorching outside, and the stark blinding light through the shop windows cast refraction sha...

Puzzles in pieces. Jigsaws and fractals. You just never know. Pieces and confounding puzzles. The Disciple’s Blade (Part II). January 26, 2009 – 6:52 pm. Posted in The Disciple's Blade. You have to leave. The words were running amok. Here and there. Down and back again. Jumbling up. Tumbling upon one another. I do not know. Muddling up thoughts and swirling the black gooey mess inside the hearts with shards of the demon idol’s glass eyes. I have heard things. 8220;I don’t want to.”. The gates before him.

The Musings of an Aspiring Poet
The Musings of an Aspiring Poet. Because of our passive approach to living, the role of the wonderer is to inject life in our experiences. By life, I mean, construct verbal expressions, compose songs, and even paint pictures. In this, the larger society is reminded of its realities and empowered to form opinions then take actions that will yield the desired results. Wednesday, March 27, 2013. So, I propped myself early in the morning while having a bath. I recited my script all over and over again. The t...

We forever talk about the things we do regarding time - killing it, wasting it, needing it - but making it seems to be something both ever reached for and never done. Thanks to all those in my life who make time for me. Posted by Lissa Rhys. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. The OMW, One Minute Writer. Working as the Des...
Musings
Et cetera, et cetera.Haven for half-formed thoughts and misinformed ideas. Oh, and well-formed cynicism. 29 May, 2017. Words over sushi and blues. A friend took pity on my car-less condition and took me for dinner in Cambridge. We spoke a curiously adult mix of workplace talk, weekend wanderings and reminisces of graduate school derring-do. Perhaps this is what growing up does to people? Party, act like there is no tomorrow, and then not have another party for months.". The seagulls remind me always of R...

Plot to Plate (Recipes). Thursday, February 15, 2018. I Deserve a T-Shirt or Something. One of the popular types of t-shirts people like to wear are the ones that announce, "I Survived (fill in the blank)." Well, I ought to get a t-shirt that says, "I Survived Absalom, Absalom.
