Mother's Day Out: Shocking Confession: I Love My Husband
http://www.mymothersdayout.com/2010/11/shocking-confession-i-love-my-husband.html
Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Shocking Confession: I Love My Husband. I love my husband. I know, I know.nowadays, that's unheard of. It's true though. I LOVE. He's an amazing man. He's my best friend. He's funny, silly, amazing with our children and I'm as attracted to him today as I was the first day I met him. I don't know. I just know that I love my husband. Am I in the minority? What is the secret to a happy marriage? So what is this elusive secret to a happy marriage? I honestly don't know. I me...

Perfect Tragedy
Sunday, September 12, 2010. This has always happened. Climate change over geologic time is, Laughlin says, something the earth has done “on its own without asking anyone’s permission or explaining itself.” People can cause climate change, but major glacial episodes have occurred “at regular intervals of 100,000 years,” always “a slow, steady cooling followed by abrupt warming back to conditions similar to today’s.”. I've been saying this for years. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Thursday, August 26, 2010.

Sunday, December 28, 2008. What a phone call! In this age of recession, one would think that people would be rather hard pressed to find adequate means of livelihood. Not so! The other day, my sister and I were lounging about at home in the afternoon, lazily chatting. The spell of languor was rudely interrupted by the shrill sound of the telephone ringing. My sister picked up the receiver with a bored hello. The latter narration is based on hearsay-from what she told me. The caller was kind of flummoxed and...

Monday, April 16, 2007. Sunday, April 1, 2007. IM, Hypertext, PowerPoint, Etc. Wednesday, March 21, 2007. I thought Storey's article was also interesting in the way that it explores the emotional connections between viewers and programs. It said that TV wasn't just an escape but an outlet for people's emotions and a way for them to connect emotionally to something in a safe way. I don't enjoy soap operas much myself, but I can see this explanation for why people like them so much. Monday, March 19, 2007.

Oh where does the time go?
Oh where does the time go? Friday, July 15, 2011. So much has happened! It has been ages since I posted a report for you. I am very sorry for that. And THAT new house will be even more awesome! I shouldn't let so much time elapse between posts; I feel like I'm bouncing back and forth from last year to this year and I hope you're not getting lost. From here on out, I'm talking about this year (2011). Arielle and Dmitri are in the Summer Reading Program at the library. They seem to really enjoy that! Other...

Monday, July 21, 2008. Week 8: Tagging, folksonomies, delicious and LibraryThing. Definitely starting to get into some unknown territory here with tagging and social bookmarking. Or, more specifically, who should decide? Perhaps I'm still stuck in taxonomy and need to evolve my thinking towards folksonomy eh? What I do think is good about it is the shared/social aspect of it. I guess that in itself seems to be the whole nexus of Web 2.0 anyway . Anyhoo: http:/ del.icio.us/mikey66e. Thursday, July 10, 2008.

With the iPhone (or Android equivalent) there are podcasting apps that will allow you to curate the best podcasts for your interests. A podcast about screenwriting and things that are interesting to screenwriters. Hosted by John August. Infrequently updated but always informative....

Lsaquo;‹ First. Last ››. May 21, 2015. Hey everyone, this week we have some fantastic art by Morgan Thomas. Who is another STAPLE! Veteran and easily one of the most photogenic people I know. I don’t think we’ll actually get to have a nice Monster-Alyssa-M-having-tea scene, but I really want to try and squeeze it in now after seeing this awesome piece. You can find Morgan both at her website. Morgan’s illustration isn’t anything to scoff at and holy shit her logos are. Go check her out! Mark those down i...

Thursday, December 27, 2007. Something Positive rocks my socks- a filler strip of note. Anyways, today the fridging of women was addressed in R.K. Milholland's filler strip for his webcomic "Something Positive." In it, a super-villain arrives in order to kill a superhero's girlfriend and well, the girlfriend kicks his ass. Can I just take this moment to beg you to go over and look at this strip? I miss her. And wish she'd gone down fighting rather than in her kitchen without a sign of a struggle. Not onl...
