Musings from a Writer: October 2012

http://musings-from-a-writer.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Musings from a Writer. An aging writer with very opinionated ideas and a healthy dose of sarcasm to boot. Tuesday, October 09, 2012. In the last couple of years, I've been watching more movies than I ever did before. It's a combination of reasons such as watching movies at home is more economical than spending 8 bucks at a theater and this type of entertainment agrees with my health situation. So why was it so familiar? After all, "The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Musings from a Writer. An aging writer with very opinionated ideas and a healthy dose of sarcasm to boot. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Stepping Away for a Time. By the brevity of my previous last few posts, I think you've figured it out that I have and am stepping away from writing for a bit. Not permanently, I could never do that. But, for now, a much needed rest from wordsmithing. More Musings Much Later. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Follow Me On Twitter. The Power of O. Stepping Away for a Time.

Musings from a Writer: Giving Advice from Sage to Innocense

http://musings-from-a-writer.blogspot.com/2013/03/giving-advice-from-sage-to-innocense.html

Musings from a Writer. An aging writer with very opinionated ideas and a healthy dose of sarcasm to boot. Thursday, March 07, 2013. Giving Advice from Sage to Innocense. I've been in a very pensive mood these days. I guess getting into later years does that to a person. An old friend of 30 some odd years spent the holidays with me and my sister this past year and telling old stories of "remember when? 2 This is a big one: Trust your gut. Get a bad feeling about a person? That's okay. You're human. 4 Are ...

Old Ivy and Hollow Trees: July 2010

http://oldivyandhollowtrees.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Old Ivy and Hollow Trees. Saturday, July 31, 2010. I know Ive been absent. But I have a perfectly good explanation! Lately, someone has released some startling (false) information to my parents saying that I posted, in this very blog, that they didn't love me anymore and that the only person who has ever loved me was Tim. It's caused me a great deal of grief over the past couple of days, seeing as how I've had to sort all of this mess out. Now, he was obviously joking. but behind every joke is a hint...

The Writers’ Block. Laquo; Clary Lopez thanks The Writers’ Block. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye…Hello…. May 28, 2008 by Nancy. 2008 seems to be the year of saying goodbye. I’ve been saying goodbye for a good portion of 2008. Goodbye to Chicago, goodbye to my old familiar life, goodbye to my stay-at-home mother status, since I’ll be starting a part-time job in Madison. So it’s a bit of a bummer to also say goodbye to The Writer’s Block. But you know what? Thank you, Nancy, for all that you’ve done in ge...

Musings From A Widow's Pen. License Tab – Comedy. October 6, 2011. Even though the tab renewal was always my responsibility for my car, I let it slide with all that I was dealing with. I decided to mail the request instead of driving to the licensing place in retrospect it would have been less costly, with fewer tears shed, had I just driven. I am learning. Monday, April 9, 2018. I finished the 2" square side of the reversible quilt yesterday, sandwiched it, and started quilting. Here they are in their unfinished state. It shouldn't take long to finish them, and the binding is all cut out and ready to add when I do.
