There’s a photo on the wall in our hall, showing Mrs Snags and me on our honeymoon. Every time I see it, a couple of things come to mind. Well, actually, many things, but two that are relevant to this particular post. Laquo; Outshone by the dog. N Things You Need To Know About x. How not to do the web: weareworship.com.

The Chronicles of Gibson. The Cone of Shame. Comments Off on The Cone of Shame. 8220;You’re going to cut WHAT. Just lately I have had lots and lots of trips to The Vet. Which is basically A-MAZ-ING! In fact, They were beginning to suspect me of fabricating issues just to get to go more often. Gross, offensive and false accusations, obviously, but I can see where They were coming from. All things are edible – Dog Daze

The Chronicles of Gibson. All things are edible. I, Chef Gibson, continue on my mission to demonstrate that there is virtually nothing that cannot be eaten. Or at least given a good go, with or without condiments. Bark (tree, not dog, obvs! Unripe blueberries (stolen); and assorted garden plants whilst helping with pruning. Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time. Party Hard, Dude. The Cone of Shame. A Time For Everything. Party Hard, Dude. All things are edible. Pwms Wot I Wrote.

The Chronicles of Gibson. Comments Off on On Dogscrimination. Panto: not for dogs! I am moved to write on a most vexing subject: dogscrimination. A blatant, institutionalised and apparently not only socially acceptable but universally condoned practice of ostracising dogs just because we’re dogs. Continue reading ». The Cone of Shame. The Chronicles of Gibson. Summer: the season of mixed blessings. Comments Off on Summer: the season of mixed blessings. So, summer. Blue skies, sunshine, happy Owners willing to go on good long walks. Hurrah for summer. Apart, that is, from heat. Heat, sapper of oomph, cause of panting, destroyer of walks and all enjoyment. Still, at least it’s fairly cool in the office. Too hot to care. Comments Off on On Dogscrimination. Panto: not for dogs! Continue reading ». The Game of sWeeping. I remain firmly con...

Noticing the good things in life. What’s it all about? I have a tendency to see the glass as half-empty. This blog is an exercise to remind myself of the good things in my life, big or small. If it entertains anyone else that's a bonus. For the first time in two years we have got the pond netted in time! However it turns out he is less than impressed at not being able to get to his outside drinking bowl now! Complex flowers of the passion flower – fascinating and beautiful in their own way. Yarn which is...

Noticing the good things in life. What’s it all about? We were away when the roses were in their full glory this year, so we missed them… I popped out today to grab some photos of those flowers that were about, and managed to get some more or less in focus, despite the breeze. Planted up the hanging baskets myself and really pleased with how they’ve developed (especially as I’ve remembered to feed them regularly). Complex flowers of the passion flower – fascinating and beautiful in their own way. All pho...

Noticing the good things in life. What’s it all about? I like January, for me it’s a month of hope and new beginnings. The stress of Christmas preparation, activities and deadlines has gone, the nights are slowly getting shorter and Spring is just around the corner. Honest, it really is, 2 more months is nothing. Unfortunately I am limited to phone photos as my camera fell down the stairs and we are waiting to see if it is repairable or will have to be replaced. In the meantime I will repurpose our v...

Noticing the good things in life. What’s it all about? A favourite season… well actually I like them all, just as long as there aren’t too many grey days! Today was a grey day which muted the colours, but the the temperature was mild and Autumn joy is still there and being appreciated every time I go out and walk through the drifts of leaves along the roads, pavements and paths. A mossy log, damp and decaying, strewn with golden leaves…. Autumn leaves fallen on top of a moss covered wall. Stopping at eve...

Noticing the good things in life. What’s it all about? Here we are again… back at Mundesley for a week’s break. A valuable time out to recharge the batteries a little. All photos from phone again as the fixed camera isn’t really… it still can’t focus properly on anything but macro). Gibson had a fabulously relaxing time and there was a sofa he was allowed on! He snoozed a lot as he was out and about experiencing all kinds of new and walking more than he is used to. The garden has taken on huge growth tre...

Noticing the good things in life. What’s it all about? The View from Here. We went to visit my parents for a weekend, and as we were up in the summer when the weather was good Dad was very keen that I have the opportunity to climb up their church. Belltower. I’m not brilliant with heights so I wimped out of going to the very top, but I did enjoy the views from the main roof level. It was a beautiful summer evening so the views across the village were stunning – full of warm sunshine and gentle light.

insanabile cacoethes scribendi | an incurable passion for writing
An incurable passion for writing. Off to Sasquan next week (19-23 Aug) for some immersion therapy with like-minded Speculative geeks. Legends and Lore of the Pacific Northwest–the Rapid Fire Reading with Broad Universe–a belly dance workshop (yes, in my other, less mild-mannered ego I like to shimmy to odd-metre dumbek music).
