Pathways through my Gray Matter. October 5, 2015. There’s no worse feeling for a boy than to disappoint his father. It is, without a doubt, akin to death in many ways. All those years, all those memories…the evenings at the ballpark, the early mornings on the river, those times curled in his lap on the chair while crying, the daily rides to school…. They all seem to get a little more dim with each hurtful word, words that plunge like a cold dagger into your heart and mind. Somehow that makes it all worse.
