A variety of lettuce- planted in March and ready to pick! Beautiful roses from my Beautiful Niece. The yard and pastures are running amok and neither th...

Musings from Fairlight Farm: August 2014

http://musingsfairlightfarm.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Musings from Fairlight Farm. Wednesday, August 06, 2014. And summer is half over. The last time I posted was in April, and since then the typical summer things have transpired. I planted a garden and have harvested a few things, fought the bugs, and marveled at how big some of the squash plants are getting. My tomatoes are producing lots of green tomatoes, but some type of stink bug is sucking the juice out of them faster than they can ripen. Peppers, Tomatoes, Squash and Cabbage from the garden. A week ...

Musings from Fairlight Farm: Collie Pinwheel

http://musingsfairlightfarm.blogspot.com/2015/01/collie-pinwheel.html

Musings from Fairlight Farm. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. The Collie girls and I were tired after a busy day off (for me) so we took a break on the deck, and the girls crashed. Days off (mine) are such hard work for them! They can't nap seventy times a day when I'm there, as I have to be snoopervised constantly. Ashley says, who me? And we can't forget our little short Collie, Tang, who was hanging out in one of the deck chairs with us, also resting. Lastly one of our many gorgeous sunsets this winter.

Musings from Fairlight Farm: Just Another Snowy Day

http://musingsfairlightfarm.blogspot.com/2015/03/just-another-snowy-day.html

Musings from Fairlight Farm. Monday, March 02, 2015. Just Another Snowy Day. Carly and Tang checking for rats in the hay barn. Not to mention that she has not been very cooperative about it. She is thrilled that she finally. Has gotten on the list- after all these years- to get grain at night now too- the only way I can bribe her into the 'torture' chamber. By the way the eye looks much worse now. Ashley appears to be helping by pushing the sled, but actually. Tang inspects the leaning tower of hay feede...

Harvest Thyme Homestead: Thinking about Fall......just a little bit

http://www.harvesthymehomestead.com/2015/07/thinking-about-falljust-little-bit.html

Harvest Thyme Homestead has grown out of a love for the simpler times of life. Its roots begin in a belief in one's self and that in time, the harvest of one's hard work will create a place called home.with a few sheep, goats, chickens, cats, dogs, 2 miniature horses, and 3 alpacas added in for good company and fiber. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Thinking about Fall.just a little bit. This Fall blooming clematis has really grown out of control this year. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Oh, look how GREEN it is there!

Boston Lake Farm: Sunday School Crafts

http://bostonlakefarm.blogspot.com/2014/06/sunday-school-crafts.html

Tuesday, June 10, 2014. I love teaching Sunday School at. Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Puposky. Here are a couple of crafts we did in class recently. Many thanks to Clancy for sketching the people and the ark and the background for the Noah story. Please note that this is not our best artistic work, as most of it was drawn and cut out late in the night before Sunday. Mercifully, kids are less critical about these crafts than our inner critics. Boston Lake Farm: April 2014

http://bostonlakefarm.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The small bit of ice on Boston this morning was completely gone by late afternoon. Clancy heard loons before dawn. Leif went kayaking in the evening. Links to this post. Labels: family and friends. Saturday, April 26, 2014. Thanks to the ice being almost out on Boston Lake, there are many wonderful dead things washed up on shore for Lleulu to roll in. She is very pleased with her smears of stink. They make quite a fuss when Lleulu makes her rounds in their area. Links to this post.

Boston Lake Farm: December 2012

http://bostonlakefarm.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 21, 2012. She's only 8 months old. Big as a house. I just can't express how pleased I am with this wonderful girl! She is constantly surpassing our expectations. She patrols, she barks, she investigates, she charges. Links to this post. Labels: livestock guard dog. Friday, December 14, 2012. A very tiny sheep made with natural wool locks. I discovered I had to use the tiny locks from around the face area of the fleece to get ones short enough to work on such a small figure. Welcome to ou...

Friday, April 19, 2013. Doll For Miss 'E'. I felt inspired to make a felted doll for my young friend, Miss E. First I made the wire armature. The citrus is a California Mandarin. (tiny orange). Then I wrapped Shetland wool around the wire and needle felted it in place. Next I added hair and I sewed a white cotton dress to serve as her base layer.as in nightgown, shift, or plain white dress. Boston Lake Farm: June 2013

Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Our sons, Clarence Asa and Donald Isaac, graduated from high school on June 1. We are so very proud of them! Here they are with Clancy and me. Graduation ceremony day was cold and raining, so we didn't get many photos taken. (It was too crowded inside the building to try to take pics.). My brother's son, Michael, also graduated from Bemidji. I just love this picture of the three guys together! Congratulations Isaac and Asa! Links to this post. Labels: family and friends.
