Musings from the Dungeon: September 2012
http://musingsfromthedungeon.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Musings from the Dungeon. Thoughts on all things rpg (and some things not rpg). Friday, September 21, 2012. Derinkyu was built in the 8th-7th centuries B.C. and could accommodate 20,000 to 30,000 people. It consisted of 13 levels, more than enough to keep you busy exploring. Kaymakli is another underground city similar to Derinkuyu. It's probably older and is more spread out than Derinkuyu, which is built deeper. People in the area still use some of the rooms as stables, cellars, etc. Entrance to the city.

Musings from the Dungeon. Thoughts on all things rpg (and some things not rpg). Saturday, December 31, 2011. Real Geomorphs: Voronja Caves. Are the deepest caves in the world. Located in the Caucasus mountains it's the only known cave in the world that's deeper than 2000 meters. The caves are spectacular. If you need an actual map or geomorph you might as well use one of the actual cave system. If you don't want yours to go down, flip it 180 degrees. Don't want it that long? Posted by John Johnson. Paul Wilson. The blurb from Amazon is fantastic:. Something is murdering my men.". The battle has begun: On one side, the ultimate evil created by man, and on the other.the unthinkable, unstoppable, unknowing terror that man has inevitably awakened.". http://musingsfromthedungeon.blogspot.com/2012/10/alice-in-wonderland-as-classic-dungeon.html
Musings from the Dungeon. Thoughts on all things rpg (and some things not rpg). Sunday, October 7, 2012. Alice in Wonderland as a classic dungeon adventure. I was watching Alice in Wonderland. The other day and I realized partway through it that it's really a classic dungeon delve with some cool and interesting twists. Wikipedia calls it a prime example of the "literary nonsense". Does this not look like an entrance to an underground lair? From Carrol's Hunting of the Snark. Nasty monsters to defeat at t...

D&D: The Fifth Column. Looking forward to what's Next…. My first look at D&D Next. January 30, 2012. I guarantee–when I woke up on January 9, I had absolutely no intention of making a 20 hour round-trip to attend the “D&D Experience” convention in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. By the next day, I had purchased my ticket to the convention, and was in the midst of planning the road-trip with Joe and Lauren, a couple of friends from my gaming group. For some reason, on. Day, I was a little more credulous. “I. Let me g...

Thoughts from the Core. Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else." Judy Garland. Tuesday, February 13, 2007. Ok, so I know this is not an excerpt from the realm of my deep thoughts, but I used to use these as away messages on AIM in college and everyone loved them.so I thought I'd share the joy :-). Question: If you could live forever, would you and why? Miss Alabama in the 1994 Miss USA contest. Outside of the killings,. I practically grew up in.

Musings from the Den…. Sit back and enjoy the confused mumblings of a highly opinionated Stoat…. Long time no type! It’s been a while hasn’t it?
