musings in the land of milk and honey: April 2011

http://musingsmilkandhoney.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Musings in the land of milk and honey. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. I had two days off from work. The constant coughing left extreme muscle pains in my shoulder and chest so laughing and coughing hurt. And since it was the start of spring my allergies decided it was time to show up. I felt like I sounded like a hypochondriac but it was all quite real. It took a week or two before I felt like myself. That is enough whining. Up next: Purim! Tiberias and Kfar Nachum otherwise known as Capernaum. Old church and ...

Musings in the land of milk and honey. Saturday, October 30, 2010. This past week on the kibbutz. By the time Thursday was done I was physically and mentally empty. My hostel room, that is all I need to say. Tel aviv is almost done, a week late. After my meal was finished my friend from NYC arrived and we had a great time catching up on life, and enjoying the fact that we weren't in NYC. We stopped at the restaurant Suzanna, and quickly chose our meal:. Lebneh with olive oil and herbs. My first bus left ...

musings in the land of milk and honey: November 2010

Musings in the land of milk and honey. Thursday, November 25, 2010. Next up. . . . Work is work, and play is play. After a standard exhausting time at work my decision for the next day off was. . . a day at the beach! The volunteer trip was fun and demanding physically and socially. There is no expectation of privacy when 40-something kibbutz volunteers travel together. Some are not sleeping in the beds they are assigned to, excessive alcohol and silly singing. Just because I like the water fountains.

Musings, Memories, and More. The melange of my life. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Amazing what a few dollars of seed potatoes, good soil, sun, water and a little love can produce! Clay Vessel For God. Thursday, September 19, 2013. Ubuntu: Christ's Challenge for Breaking Dividing walls. Text: John 4: 5- 26 (Jesus and the Samaritan Woman). So he came to a Samaritan city called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired out by his journey, was sitting by the well. It was about noon. A Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”. His disciples had gone to the city to buy food.).
