Musings of a Bookworm. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Ok, first off: no sarcastic comments about how long it's been since I last blogged. I probably don't need to worry though because who knows if anyone even checks this blog. But no worries! I like reading and I like writing about what I read, even if there's no one to read it. :). Musings of a Bookworm. Green Angel by Alice Hoffman. Friday, February 6, 2009. Green Angel by Alice Hoffman. My mother said to me that day, moments before they left for the city,. We're leaving you behind because you're the one who's needed most of all. I will forever remember that I turned away.". I've been sitting here for 30 minutes trying to decide how to summarize this book. If I had to absolutely, positively, no exceptions allowed declare to the world my favorite book,. Musings of a Bookworm: April 2010

http://www.musingsofabookworminc.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html

Musings of a Bookworm. Friday, April 30, 2010. I'm pretty sure that my mom and sister will be the only ones still checking this blog, but I'll post anyway. :) I just finished my last final of the semester (Cataloging is the pits, in case you were wondering) and am now free until June 7! I was also in a Young Adult Lit. class this semester. I wish I could just post the reading list from the class, but that's not going to happen. I could not believe how many trashy books I had to read! But I digress. T...

Musings of a Bookworm. Spotlight on Karen Cushman. Its good to be done. Monday, February 21, 2011. Spotlight on Karen Cushman. I thought I would do a spotlight on one of my favorite authors. Karen Cushman is a historical fiction writer. We put a lot of trust in historical fiction writers to give us an accurate portrayal of a particular time period and event. I think that Ms. Cushman has proven herself over and over again. The Midwife’s Apprentice (1995). The Midwife’s Apprentice. And both are wonderful).

At Home Happenings: Imagination Station

http://athomehappenings.blogspot.com/2015/04/imagination-station.html

Thursday, April 23, 2015. The Kids were playing "Good Witch, Bad Witch." Evan said he was a bad witch and he was going to turn his mom into electricity and put her in his light lamp. That great imagination comes from "feeding daily" on books! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Life in PA School. Island Park for Conference Weekend. There's only 4 of us around here. At Home Happenings: Children and Tadpoles

http://athomehappenings.blogspot.com/2015/05/children-and-tadpoles.html

Friday, May 29, 2015. This little article comes from the Vermont Country Sampler. The Disappearance of the Tadpoles. As a neurotic parent, I have always been unduly worried about my children. On the one hand, I know there is a risk in everything, on the other hand, well, really there is no other hand. Until recently, I thought that maybe my way of thinking was relatively normal. That is, until the toads disappeared. Let me explain. May 30, 2015 at 2:10 PM. May 30, 2015 at 2:12 PM. My Life in PA School.

Musings of a Book Slut

Musings of a Book Slut. Monday, June 15, 2015. I received an advanced reader’s edition of When the Moon is Low. By Nadia Hashimi through The Reading Room. With my background in multicultural literature, I was thrilled to get this story set in Kabul by an Afghan American. This was a story that wanted to be told and a story I wanted to read. On a whole, Hashimi attempts too much. Each story is valid, vivid and strong. Yet, by telling Saleem’s story, she’s done Fereiba a disservice and vice versa. Then, as ...

Musings of a borderline

Musings of a borderline. The girl behind the curtain. Rough session…rough day. October 15, 2013. MB and I had out weekly session today and for some reason it was a rough one. I think the more we dig the more shit we dig up the the harder it is to face. I am working so hard every single day and sometimes it feels like I have made zero progress – it’s so frustrating. That is something that you can’t repay. I think I will have to make these again. Facing demons…and it’s not even Halloween. October 12, 2013.

I, me, my shelf. | .-.

I, me, my shelf. Introducing: For the love of FOOD. Basically, a friend and I, love food. (who doesn’t? I know, but we kind of take it to the extreme sometimes). So as I was saying, we love food, we love talking about and we love cooking food (recent discovery), so we thought, why not make a food blog? Another to add to the list of blogs I have :P). And so we did. Please take a look! November 7, 2011. I typed all of this on my phone. Bride and groom appear on stage*. Did I tell you I hate them? The recep...

Aha, truth is, school gets way to busy for me to keep up with this during the semester so I just stopped. Lawd, oh Lawd. On Twitter, s...
