http://musingsofascientist2.blogspot.com/2012/05/memorial-daybirthday-camping-trip.html
Musings of a Scientist. Bringing a scientist's inner thoughts to the masses. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Memorial Day/Birthday Camping Trip. David and I went camping this past weekend to celebrate my birthday, and it was amazing. My first stop was to the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. Driving through, I encountered a snapping turtle crossing the road. I also saw water snakes, a garter snake, painted turtles, frogs and probably the most amazing thing was this:. And then I stumbled upon THIS:. The skelet...

Musings of a Scientist. Bringing a scientist's inner thoughts to the masses. 8220; The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever. My name is Christine, and I'm a 23 year old grad student from New Jersey, studying Aquatic and Coastal Sciences. Which is a combined bachelor's/master's program that is a mash up of marine science, freshwater ecosystems, environmental science, and ecology. I absolutely love the field I am in, and could not see myself doing anything other than this.

Musings of a Scientist. Bringing a scientist's inner thoughts to the masses. Friday, July 6, 2012. Why Government Is Important: Big Brother = Big Bother? Note: Although I'm a registered democrat, my viewpoints are more independent and progressive (and skeptical). I am open to debate and intelligent discussion, but NO vulgar language or finger pointing! However, I urge my readers to remember about human nature and extremes: remember Communism (without the bad connotations)? I believe that political corrup...

http://musingsofascientist2.blogspot.com/2012/05/seriously-north-carolina-seriously.html
Musings of a Scientist. Bringing a scientist's inner thoughts to the masses. Thursday, May 31, 2012. Seriously, North Carolina? I am outraged about a new proposed law in North Carolina. Link to actual legal text); I feel as if this proposed law is infringing on free speech. Ok, not quite, but it is very similar. Basically it wants to limit how scientists are going to calculate sea level rises. Here's an excerpt from the bill-. Any data collected prior to 1900? I wouldve highlighted the whole thing in blue.

Just another WordPress.com site. May 28, 2012. I think it is important to stand out from the crowd in order to get noticed and as Dr Shannon rightly says, that is only the first step. Once done, then you need to follow-it up with an interaction. As they say in India, Tamasha works to get attention, but what you do after tamasha is what matters most! Sunday, March 18, 2018. Doesn't seem like a year. But it was one year ago Saturday that I closed on my home in Florida and began moving in. I am so happy here that it feels like I've been here for years. Additionally, I have made a home at the Lyon's Head Antique Mall. Found this lovely little Smith creamer with a rich iridescence at my local Goodwill. Found this marigold carnival basket in my unpacking of more inventory last week and is lovely to put an Easter egg or two in it. Be still my heart, I go w...
