The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. One working mom's journey to her own version of enlightenment. Hamilton County Commission – A Women’s Perspective. I usually do pretty well keeping my cool during those frustrating moments of parenthood. I can easily tune out whining and high-pitched giggle fits. When things get too loud and chaotic, I calmly say, “I need you to stop this immediately,” and get surprisingly good results. Not a whole lot ruffles my feathers. But sometimes…enough is enough.
