One bag of brussel sprouts, washed, pared and cooked. 1 red pepper, chopped. 1/2 onion, chopped. 2 stalks of celery chopped. 1 - 15 oz. can diced tomatoes. 3 c veg. broth or H2O. 1 t garlic powder. Wednesday, September 14, 2011. I have had this cough for about a week. Last night I woke up every few hours. This is my first time being sick as a vegan. I never did take much medication as a non-vegan, but a dry cough at night is irritating, not to mention the lack of sleep. So, what do I do? Google of course:) I Googled vegan cough remedy. I ended up reading at least 10 sites on the subject. This is the tea I made based on my reading and what I had in the house:. 8 oz apple juice. Juice of one lemon.
