Mussel Ridge Boats

The approach we took in designing this vessel was to incorporate the best characteristics of most of the proven lobster boat hulls. You will notice a very traditional stem and sheer, as well as the flair forward and tumblehome aft, to create an aesthetically pleasing hull above the waterline. West Coast Aquaculture is an Oyster and Mussel farm located in the inner bay of Saldanha Bay. We operate from Pepperbay where our boat leaves every morning between 06:00 and 07:00 for the farm. We harvest and grade by hand which result in a excellent quality hand picked product. The farm has been in existence for close on 10 years but has been operating as West Coast Aquaculture since 14 April 2008. We supply our Mussels as a fresh live product or as a cleaned par cooked frozen product.
