My Marlow Experience,. Recently (this is the reason I decided to write yet another article) I sailed my boat back to Cozumel (AMISTAD'S home port) from Key West. Whereas it usually takes about 24hrs for the 375NM, travelling 17 to 20kts during the day and 12 to 13kts during the night, this time it took us closer to 40hrs! My Marlow Experience,. I had to remove all the original insulation and installed a 2 1/2" Vynil/Foam composite insulation with the 21b/sq. ft. barrier septum and perforated aluminum plates as a protective covering .
