We purchased her in the fall of 2006 knowing she needed a face lift and some repairs to delaminated sections of the house. This turned out to be a bigger can of worms than we anticipated akin to the house remodel/money pit. Never-the-less after 21 months, Geraldine as she is now renamed emerged from a complete rebuild to a nearly new state and completely new in many ways. Here is the layout of Geraldine:. Ed is a friend of Walt’s who was enthusiastically following the trip and volunteered to help out if needed. When Kip departed for ten days in Nome, Ed joined the crew and sailed through some of the roughest waters of the trip; through the Bering Sea to Dutch Harbor and then on to Kodiak. Ed has been a sailing enthusiast for many years and fit in easily with the other crew members. Web Designer and Crew. Bay, AK. The compressor is shot and Baddeck Marine is searching for both a compressor or a new refrig. The problem is we can’t get the refrig out the door way or through the hatch above. ARGH! We are praying for a compressor! At noon, Robert and John went for lobsters straight off the boat. What a feast we had with the two pounders they got for us!
