A Surprising Light: Case study -- singing Psalm 25
http://surprisinglight.blogspot.com/2009/09/case-study-singing-psalm-25.html
Sometimes for the Christian while he sings (Wm. Cowper). Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Case study - singing Psalm 25. For Pastor Ted's 6-part series on humility, I thought we should sing a particularly psalm each time - both to reinforce the major themes of the series, to give voice to our response in prayer, and with hopes that the congregation might learn it. Note: the psalm in Hebrew is in acrostic form ("A to Z" as it were). See how the hymn-writer found a way to approximate that in this version.
A Surprising Light: Sunday Setlists for November 6, 2011
http://surprisinglight.blogspot.com/2011/11/sunday-setlists-for-november-6-2011.html
Sometimes for the Christian while he sings (Wm. Cowper). Monday, November 7, 2011. Sunday Setlists for November 6, 2011. Pastor Ted finished his series on Samson. At least I think so - he covered Judges 16, the end of Samson. The musical theme centered on the cross. Music theme: "Our every hope rests on what Christ has done". Psalm 146 ("Hallelujah, praise Jehovah") - piano only. Lord Most High/Famous One. The wonderful cross (Tomlin). I come by the blood (the new sovgrace song we've been learning).

Monday, May 24, 2010. WEEKEND REVIEW #19 - MAY 23, 2010. While planning the songs, I was looking through our repertoire and couldn't find a single song that touched on the theme of rest. Call to Worship-Responsive Reading: Psalm 100. How Great Thou Art. Time of silence for confession of sin / prayer. Glory To God Forever.

Best of the West Family
Best of the West Family. Sunday, April 8, 2018. Michael took out his kite for a spin during soccer practice. Evan has been begging every day to use Dad's kite. Evan loves to show me his cool moves on the trampoline. I will miss these times with him at home. Next year I lose him to school. He tests for the magnet program in a couple of weeks, but we do have him registered with the district. Aaron loves his time on the trampoline too! Wednesday, April 4, 2018. We did confetti eggs again. Good fun! We parti...
