Rehabilitation work began in July 2013 and phase 2 of the process is slated to start July 2014. A new (and very competent) board is now in place. A Member of Parliament has convinced Kenya Power and Light to forgive the 400,000 shilling debt. So electricity to the various hospital units will be restored as each building is repaired. A very generous couple has given $25,000 that was used to ship a huge container of hospital equipment and supplies from the U.S. to Mwhila Hospital. 2013 New Roof in Progress.
