Chronicles of Charlotte: January 2012
http://charlottecarolsweb.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
January 30, 2012. Walking past a girl who's talking on her phone via bluetooth or some other contraption in her ear and thinking she's talking to herself. Walking past Harold (the library) and getting flat-tired so bad by some random kid that my shoe comes off and I have to hop over to the nearest bench to put it back on. Ok, maybe this was also slightly awkward. Yes, all three of these encounters happened on the same day. Yes, I spend a lot of my time walking. Looks like the week is off to a great start!

Chronicles of Charlotte: wait time.
http://charlottecarolsweb.blogspot.com/2015/05/wait-time.html
May 28, 2015. Walking home from school this week on a particularly misty day. The wait time for my family is almost over, because Peter gets home from his mission THIS WEEK. I can't believe his 2 years are almost up! I'm so excited for my family to pick him up at the airport. Homecomings make the waiting ok. 8220;Patience is power. Patience is not an absence of action;. Rather it is "timing". It waits on the right time to act,. For the right principles. And in the right way.”. Fulton J. Sheen.

Chronicles of Charlotte: thoughts on china.
http://charlottecarolsweb.blogspot.com/2015/06/thoughts-on-china.html
June 7, 2015. You're living somewhere in the world. You're doing cool stuff. You're alive! Because it makes me appreciate life so much more. Here, I see the very old and the very young together. A grandfather holding the hands of a toddler. A sharp juxtaposition of age. Children here are raised by an average of three adults: their parents and a grandparent. And families are small, often with just one or two siblings. But they are close. They care for each other. I am grateful for the opportunities I have...

Chronicles of Charlotte: stuff your eyes with wonder.
http://charlottecarolsweb.blogspot.com/2015/05/stuff-your-eyes-with-wonder.html
May 10, 2015. Stuff your eyes with wonder. One of my favorite things: When a normal day leads to an unplanned, crazy adventure. Alyssa, Bekstrand, Amber, and I decided to explore the city. First that meant finding the metro. It turned out to be a couple blocks away. We had umbrellas, but they didn't help much! We finally made it out. And guess what? That really is true. And after the rainstorm finally ended, Guangzhou was stunning. Welcome to a free ice cream store where they do it your way. Just don...

Chronicles of Charlotte: ok, i'm over the cockroaches.
http://charlottecarolsweb.blogspot.com/2015/06/ok-im-over-cockroaches.html
June 11, 2015. Ok, i'm over the cockroaches. The first time, it was an adventure. Not exactly the best or happiest kind, but thrilling and heart-pounding nonetheless. I was in my bedroom getting ready for church when Hattie's voice came down the hall. "Um, guys. There's a cockroach in the kitchen.". Like, you've really got to hit it a bunch of times to kill it. And even then, we take it to the outside garbage because, precautions people. It's been quite the adventure. But China, I think I'm over the ...

Chronicles of Charlotte: December 2011
http://charlottecarolsweb.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
December 18, 2011. No one realizes how beautiful it is to travel. Until he comes home and rests his head on his own, familiar pillow. Woke up today at 5 AM. Oh the perks of jet lag. Spent 30 minutes playing fetch with Ginger. Got on facebook. Bored. Went off facebook. Wondered what time it was back in Jerusalem. Ate chex with ice cold milk. At my kitchen counter. In my pjs, with bare feet. It's good to be back. The first day home in America was a blast. And played our baby grand piano. December 15, 2011.

Brother Ludlow, Taylor, me, Nicole, Danielle, and Suzy outside. The Joseph's Church in Nazareth. Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. It was a sunny day and the water. View from the Mt. of Beatitudes. Chronicles of Charlotte: June 2015
http://charlottecarolsweb.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
June 16, 2015. Hong kong round two. Hong Kong. Round 2. Which mostly consists of 5 happy girls running around Disneyland. But more on that later. Our apartment was in downtown Hong Kong, near the Yau Ma Tei metro stop. We rented it through airbnb, and it turned out to be a big success. Granted there were 8 girls living in a very small space, but it kinda just became a big, 2-night sleep over and that was pretty great. We ended up at McDonalds. How often I eat at McDonalds in America: Never. Disneyland Ho...
