The last day to see these little slipper lined up, the last day I'd have my students for a (simi-) normal day. I've learned so much this year and love these little ones more than I thought I could. And the lessons I'm learning from them. Friday, April 17, 2015. Spring Break: Guest Readers in K-5. My parents left Ankara Monday afternoon. I was so glad they had a chance to visit my classroom and meet most of my students before they left. I'd given them a tour of the empty school over the weekend but Monday they got to meet my co-workers and many of the students. They each read a story and enjoyed talking to my students during reading time and recess. Spring Break in Ankara. Spring Break in Paris.

It was a lovely morning, I was wearing my new scarf and thinking about how funny it was that it was snowing in the middle of March! A couple of weeks ago it had actually gotten pretty warm for a few days but the past week has been pretty cold and rainy, and this morning I woke up to snow.
