Almost there! | My African Journey
https://myafricanjourney.wordpress.com/2011/05/26/hello-world
Just another WordPress.com site. May 26, 2011 in Uncategorized. Welcome to my African journey blog! I anticipate being able to update it weekly. I will be leaving on Monday, June 6th, for Mombasa Kenya. Originally I was going to serve in Uganda, but due to a governmental grant for construction work, the facility in Uganda is unable to house volunteers. I will be serving in the same ways in Mombasa🙂. We brought the rice crispie treats we made to give to the children at school and they loved them! In the clinic I got to spend time in the antenatal (prenatal) room. I palpated many preganant bellies and felt a lot of fetuses! Our school children competed in a poetry and singing competition last week and it was incredible! Comments feed for this article. Just another WordPress.com site. The Beauty in Africa. June 11, 2011 in Uncategorized. Life is so many things here. Simple. Hard. Real. I brought pictures of my family to the school. All of the kids wanted to see them (I almost got trampled). They thought my pet dogs were so funny. Brook O.–I promised I would show anyone a picture of you in your wedding dress until after your wedding day, but surprise….300 beautiful African children have seen one! I love every second here.
