http://sixquailsinwales.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Six Quails in Wales. The life of a home educating family in Pembrokeshire. Tuesday, 27 April 2010. In which we wonder what is the purpose of exams, and why there's so much slate in my garden. Well spring has finally sprung here in Pembrokeshire and life is as busy as ever. Thought it was about time (or perhaps a bit overdue) to sit down and have a quick update on some of the things we have been up to! Rhiannon (of course) came up with a design as she said she didn't want it looking like an allotment!

Six Quails in Wales: March 2010
http://sixquailsinwales.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Six Quails in Wales. The life of a home educating family in Pembrokeshire. Wednesday, 10 March 2010. Today I accompanied Rhiannon to a college interview. She wants to do a First Diploma in Art and design which is equivalent to 4 GCSE's - nothing earthshattering, but she wants to pursue a career in art and design and having been mostly self taught in her art, she wanted to start with a basic course to "fill in" gaps in her knowledge and experience before progressing to more advanced courses. A couple of A...

http://sixquailsinwales.blogspot.com/2011/01/new-years-resolutions.html
Six Quails in Wales. The life of a home educating family in Pembrokeshire. Monday, 17 January 2011. Yes, I know it's a bit late but I never was one to be on time. I can't believe my last post was last May - that's pretty awful even for me! But the children are often saying ".oh perhaps you could put this on the blog." so guilt has finally got the better of me and I thought I'd try again. It's also nice to look back at things we've done, so.here goes! Rhiannon as "Snow White". And all in less than an hour!

Six Quails in Wales: August 2009
http://sixquailsinwales.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Six Quails in Wales. The life of a home educating family in Pembrokeshire. Friday, 28 August 2009. In which we discover when it is OK to throw oneself off a bridge! The answer.when you are jumping into a river dressed in a helmet and life jacket, and someone who knows what they are talking about says it is safe! Still doesn't sound like a good idea to me though! However, it turned out to be the highlight of a day out with our newly formed HE group, Kayaking in Llandysul! Rhiannon poised for action. The t...

Six Quails in Wales. The life of a home educating family in Pembrokeshire. Friday, 11 November 2011. E-petition on Pilot Safety. We're really concerned about the governments new proposals regarding the hours a pilot is allowed to fly. Please have a look at this you tube video made by BALPA the pilot's union and think about signing the e-petition. We need to stop this from happening! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Six Quails in Wales: February 2012
http://sixquailsinwales.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Six Quails in Wales. The life of a home educating family in Pembrokeshire. Wednesday, 29 February 2012. But I digress.always in the back of my mind there's been this niggling doubt that her lack of formal qualifications would go against her if she wanted to apply to University. This has been my nemesis. Well my daughter has decided that she wants to study Theatre and Performance Design and so she duly applied. There really wasn't much to put on the UCAS form. 2 IGCSE's and a Level 2 diploma! I can't help...

Six Quails in Wales: December 2009
http://sixquailsinwales.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Six Quails in Wales. The life of a home educating family in Pembrokeshire. Wednesday, 9 December 2009. Oh no he didn't.OH YES HE DID! I have soooo much to blog about - mainly about our time in New York - but so far I have failed miserably to get around to it. The days just go past so quickly and since my children NEVER go to bed early there doesn't seem to be much time left for anything else! Anyway, back to the title of this post. Rhiannon has recently. Here are a few pics. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
