http://ajourneytwiceasfar.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
A journey twice as far. Saturday, February 28, 2009. My housemate from Madrid was featured on a television programme about people from Madrid (Madridians? I'm an international TV (or should I say 'telly'? Sunday, February 22, 2009. Today is the start of Sixth Week of Hilary Term. It is hard to believe that there are only two weeks left in this term and then only one more eight-week term of this academic year! But I'm not going to worry about that until next term. The letter 'e' used to look exactly like ...

a journey twice as far: There's No Place Like Home
http://ajourneytwiceasfar.blogspot.com/2010/01/theres-no-place-like-home.html
A journey twice as far. Friday, January 1, 2010. There's No Place Like Home. I have returned to Oxford after spending two wonderful weeks in Chicago with my family and friends. As my mom predicted, the fourteen days went by very quickly, especially since the first week of my visit was spent getting ready for Christmas. Such insights—combined with Lou Malnati’s and my big, comfy bed—prove that there’s no place like home. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Journey Twice as Far.

a journey twice as far: August 2009
http://ajourneytwiceasfar.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
A journey twice as far. Monday, August 31, 2009. These past two weeks have spoiled me. I have been the only person in the house. I have rediscovered that I enjoy cooking when I have my own kitchen, when the pots and pans are returned to their shelves and when I don't have to move other people's dirty dishes every time I want to wash my own. I can't wait to have my own flat! Friday, August 28, 2009. The hit play at the National Theatre which later became a movie with the same cast) ,. Every morning I have...

a journey twice as far: Worcester in the Snow
http://ajourneytwiceasfar.blogspot.com/2010/01/worcester-in-snow.html
A journey twice as far. Saturday, January 9, 2010. Worcester in the Snow. Last week I paused during my daily walk through the cloisters to take a picture of my college. The quad was unusually frosty and even more beautiful than usual:. Later that day it began snowing. By the following morning, the quad looked like this:. The pathway through the apple and pear orchard also looked pretty in the snow. Notice that this is one of the only pathways in all of Oxford that has been shovelled! I am a graduate stud...

KARMATH (2009): Casualties of War
http://karmath2009.blogspot.com/2009/03/casualties-of-war.html
Friday, March 6, 2009. Picture this: you're a lifeguard. On your daily routine, you're sitting in your high chair, sunglasses in place, bathing suit on, nose caked in sunscreen. Your eyes are buried within your binoculars. Let him drown," they say. You look at them in shock. "What? It's not yo...

KARMATH (2009): Pi
http://karmath2009.blogspot.com/2009/01/pi.html
Tuesday, January 6, 2009. It's Tuesday, and I'm back at the daily grind. Day job and Patch. While at the Montessori school this morning, I was making tea in the microwave next to the snack table in my classroom. One kid was sitting there wolfing down his breakfast eggs and jelly toast. While eating, he said "Peter, did you know you can eat toast with jelly on it? Oh yeah, I do it all the time! With extreme jubilation, he dropped the fork and spit out bits of egg while he yelled, "ME TOO! He got up to was...
