Of all my travels in Myanmar it was perhaps the time spent in Shan State with my Palaung friends that stood out most amongst the rest. Years later I had the opportunity to work together with my friends with our green tea business. From profits we are currently sponsoring children to attend English classes and making donations to Palaung schools and a monastery. 2012 Campaigned by Crystal Technology.

Palaung People and The Region. The Palaung people live in the high elevations of the Shan State Plateau. It forms part of The Golden Triangle region and for most part it is mountainous, remote and naturally beautiful. Areas of dense forest and many wildlife species still remain today. The area has remained largely unchanged for centuries. The Palaung people are divided into Palé, Rumai, and Shwe, and each of these has their own language. 2012 Campaigned by Crystal Technology.
