Tuesday, November 08, 2011. Arrival in Port au Prince. It has been a long day, as is the case each time I travel to Haiti. Always such an early morning :) My alarm went off at 2am this morning and we were up and at 'er! I managed to forget to bring my water bottle which is laying in the drying rack next to the sink at home. Thankfully I realized this on the drive to the airport and was able to message my friend who had a later flight out of Ottawa and she packed me an extra bottle! My travel buddy Jo Anna.

Friday, November 20, 2009. November 9, 2009. At the airport we found our Tour Haiti driver, Jean Jacques Solage, and loaded the bags onto his van and waited for the 8 new members to our team. Thursday, November 03, 2011. It seems I have fallen off the blogosphere! I did not do very well with keeping the entries up to date, but to be fair, I neglected to finish my personal travel journal on each trip to Haiti since! So here I am, back. Ready to give it the ol' college try, as the kids used to say. I'm sure they don't say that now. Then I came back home to Canada and I got married :). Friday, November 20, 2009. November 13, 2009. Again, wearing wet pants :) But, it's better than knowing there is dried urine and sweat on them! So we are excited about that! They are also upgrading the washrooms, moving the main office, organizing the pharmacy and paying all the bills such as teacher's salaries. They are going to be a great help. Wednesday, November 04, 2009. I woke fairly early this morning, and had to make myself stay in bed a little longer.that is rare. My earplugs must have worked wonders last night because the girls say the rain woke them through the night crashing down in buckets. I heard nothing. Again, as we were leaving, the storehouse clerk arrived so we scrounged around up there…it is really hurting, we had a hard time to find even simple things like a quad cane.
