Tuesday, February 15, 2011. I love this view from one of the stake centers where we hold our Multi-zone Conferences. We just completed our third series of Multi-zone Conferences. Every three months we hold four of these day-long training meetings, each with three zones and around fifty missionaries. One morning a few months ago,Marsh and I drove two hours to a charming little tree-shaded town called Amparo for a baptismal interview with an investigator who hoped to be baptized that afternoon. It is a city of lovely cathedrals, leafy plazas and stone streets. Claudio is on the left. This is where the Branch meets upstairs. Friday, July 8, 2011. I knew you and dad were really busy, but I never really knew all the details and that it is THAT busy! And never any complaints. Friday, April 20, 2012. Family Visits in Salt Lake City. We flew 'home' to Brazil and our missionaries on September 27, 2011. We were thankful for the chance to finish our mission and very grateful for the unexpected time spent with our family in the States. Julie and the kids drove up from Huntington Beach the first weekend we were in Salt Lake City. We had a wonderful time, and even had weather warm enough to swim in the apartment pool. Sunday, July 31, 2011. This is my Tracy Emin inspired Christchurch earthquake blanket. Its single bed sized. The white bits are printed emails I sent during the few days after the quake. As usual my son hates it. Says its a boring subject (so over earthquakes mum), not enough swear words, Tracys are better etc. etc. Saturday, July 23, 2011. I find quilting very reassuring, comforting. When in doubt .quilt. Since the earthquake, things have been very up and down, upside-down in fact. These are my studies.
