Poking The Bear: January 2008
http://pokingthebear.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Don't Play That Song. I love music, but I’m a truly terrible singer. Think Murphy Brown pilot. I can’t even sing ironically and have it sound somewhat decent. Not for lack of trying, though. I’ve attempted many a night of drunk karaoke-ing (in private Koreatown rooms, mind you) and the results were pretty horrific by any standard. My most recent and probably last attempt at semi-public humiliation was belting out Faith No More’s Epic whilst playing Rock Band (!

Biting the hand of Hollywood since 2005. Sunday, April 10, 2005. The revolution will not be blogavised. To give you an idea of how this all started, let's go back to the year 1968, when the smash musical Hair. Stormed onto Broadway and taught millions of Americans to just go ahead and let the sunshine in. Then, ten years after that, Eti and Nick were born, and another quarter century after that. Pop Whore: September 2005
http://popwhoreblog.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Biting the hand of Hollywood since 2005. Thursday, September 29, 2005. Wednesday (With An Edge). Lots of TV to tell you about, so let’s get to it, shall we? First off, America’s Next Top Model was awesome with an edge. I’ve decided that with an edge is the new black and also how I’m going to describe everything from now on. We at Pop Whore are all about picking favorites, so here are our top three:. Kim is also crushing on Kyle, which we really can’t blame her for. Sorry, Parker Posey! And no, we’re not ...

Pop Whore: May 2005
http://popwhoreblog.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Biting the hand of Hollywood since 2005. Wednesday, May 25, 2005. Some weeks, it staple-gunned you to your seat. Other weeks, it was people talking about their feelings. But somehow it always worked, either way. The finale is tonight and I'm pretty excited to see what gi-normous "WTF? Moment J.J. Abrams pulls out for the ending. Can a show this gimmicky last more than one year? And as Sutherland the Younger walked off into the L.A. sunrise with his Black Rain. Killing Melissa George at the end of last se...

Tuesday, November 01, 2005. This past Saturday I took a basic knife skills class. Not the one that is taught in dark corners of Los Angeles on how to defend yourself in a street fight. This class was to educate me on the best ways to chop my food for cooking and presentation. Veggies are the only unlucky victims. Posted by the sparkler : 9:17 PM. So when are you going to drunk dial Veronica Mars to invite her over to watch poker and chop vegetables? That's kind of hot. Can I come too? Los Angeles, CA.

sparkler's notes: December 2005
http://thesparkler.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 23, 2005. Christmas Trees and Football. Two things that December is full of. The month kicked off with both of these in one weekend, the USC v. UCLA game on Saturday and tree trimming on Sunday. My relationship is successful based on the fact that M and I understand what each of these mean to the other. I watched The Station Agent. Speaking of short stories come to life, I read Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx. (Thanks Julia. Check it out, they post new secrets every Sunday. The bo...

sparkler's notes: September 2005
http://thesparkler.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 29, 2005. It smells like fire outside. It's not the comforting smell of campfire or the tummy rumbling smell of neighbors grilling; but the smell of late September and October in Southern California. The scent of sadness, lost homes, and misplaced animals. Humans have created so much tragedy of our own accord that we are shocked by the ones caused by nature. Sending my prayers out tonight to all those who have been effected by nature's power and devastion. Tuesday, September 27, 2005.

Monday, October 24, 2005. Not at the young, tall, muscular, dark haired, chiseled face, first responder wearing the navy blue uniform; that I was anxiously anticipating. An old, short, slightly overweight balding man climbed down off the truck. I mean don’t you need to submit your headshots to get into the fire academy? What happened with this one? Did he not age well? Posted by the sparkler : 9:03 PM. Some of these sites even have recipes from the firehouse.not that I looked or anything. Los Angeles, CA.

Poking The Bear: October 2005
http://pokingthebear.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 24, 2005. In Touch At Target. I’m not sure how or why, but on Saturday I found myself shopping at Target with Reena and Nick. Okay, that’s a lie. I know how and why, but I figured it would sound a lot cooler if I pretended that going to Target on a Saturday with my friends was an anomaly. Which, really, it is, because we had some time to kill before a movie, but still. Someday I’ll need them, sure! Posted by Eti at 8:05 AM. Thursday, October 20, 2005. Pine Sol and Coffee.
