Tactical Switch: June 2013
http://www.tacticalswitch.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 19 June 2013. Are we all excited and counting down the days till the new season? I no I am! Personally I don't get all the hype around the fixtures as you have to play everyone twice anyway so does it matter when? Being a Liverpool fan I admit I look for the Everton, Man U and Chelsea games first but also keep a look out for the Villa games, as being from the Midlands its always nice to keep the locals quiet. Next to Man U and I think this is a toughie for them and if they come away with a dra...

Tactical Switch: May 2013
http://www.tacticalswitch.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 May 2013. I read an article relating to Shane Warne basically saying England need KP to win the Ashes. I dont think this is true. As much as I'm an admirer of KP I think we cope pretty well without him. Granted anyone would rather have him in the team then out of it. His debut for England was phenomenal, strutting to the crease and showing no respect for either McGrath or Warne was great and in the ODI series against South Africa was pretty special aswell. So I'm not saying we don't need KP ju...

Tactical Switch: Transfer Round Up Part 2
http://www.tacticalswitch.com/2013/09/transfer-round-up-part-2_20.html
Friday, 20 September 2013. Transfer Round Up Part 2. So today we will have a look at Manchester United and Liverpool and how they have spent their money and how I think they will fair this season. I predicted back in the summer that David Moyes has a tough act to follow and as early into the season as it is you can already see the pressure mounting on top of his shoulders. Moyes is very lucky Ferguson left him a title winning side and more importantly a player of Van Persie's calibre. Luis Alberto is you...

Tactical Switch: Transfer Round Up Part 1
http://www.tacticalswitch.com/2013/09/transfer-round-up-part-1.html
Thursday, 19 September 2013. Transfer Round Up Part 1. Ok so Im going to have a look at how the big teams spent their money and how I think they will finish come the end of the season. Today I will have a look at both the North London clubs. I really feel they miss a commanding midfielder, a giant that bosses and puts in the tackles. Up front they still lack a world class striker. So were do I think they will finish? Now across North London Spurs have been very busy. I suppose we should start with th...

Tactical Switch: Liverpool FC
http://www.tacticalswitch.com/2013/09/liverpool-fc.html
Thursday, 19 September 2013. Ok so we are only 4 games in and I for one are not getting carried away. To be honest I never look at the league till about 20 games in, then you begin to get an idea as to where your club will end up. Rodgers has done very well in the transfer market getting the correct balance of youth and experience but with players of a winning mentality. I still think we are a quality striker short but if we can keep with the pace until January then I'm sure we could see a top strike...

Tactical Switch: ICC Champions Trophy The Semi's
http://www.tacticalswitch.com/2013/06/icc-champions-trophy-semis.html
Tuesday, 18 June 2013. ICC Champions Trophy The Semi's. England v South Africa. South Africa are close to if not the best ODI team in the world right now. They have a strong batting line up and equally as strong bowling unit. If England win the toss they need chase pure and simple. England haven't got it in them to post a big score and if they post anything under 270 then its all over so its imperative England bowl first. As for our batsmen I can only say one thing.HIT IT! But all in all I think the Sout...

Tactical Switch: Taylor, Nadal and England Cricket
http://www.tacticalswitch.com/2013/06/summary-of-last-week.html
Monday, 10 June 2013. Taylor, Nadal and England Cricket. I think the main thing that amazes me is the way an opponent will hit a 180 and Taylor just simply shrugs it off and replies with one of his own. His scoring was faultess and to average over 100 in every match is phenominal. I honestly think the UK Open is the hardest event to win, but both finalists will go to Blackpool full of confidence. For me Taylor is still the man to beat and credit due as he keeps replying to his critics.
