turtle&co's music blog: May 2011
http://turtleandco.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Groovin' the Moo @ Bendigo Showgrounds (30/04/11). Bringing a complete review together of a music festival is a tough job at the best times. Mix in a whole lot of alcohol and some very hazy memories, and the job becomes a tad more difficult. And with that in mind here it is, my attempt to review an epic day that was Groovin the Moo 2011. Or parts of it at least. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Groovin' the Moo @ Bendigo Showgrounds (30/04/11). Et Musique Pour Tous.

I AM MEGGY: January 2013
http://iammeggy.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 22 January 2013. Little People in the City. I was really struggling for inspiration for my Camden project that I'm working on at uni. Last weekend I found this book called, Little People in the City. It is the work of a street artist, Slinkachu. It was like being punched in the face by inspiration. Thank you little people! Sunday, 20 January 2013. Today was the first time we took it on a drive and because it doesn't have power steering, driving it feels like a gym work out. Today I have a list a...

turtle&co's music blog: I think I'm in love.
http://turtleandco.blogspot.com/2011/04/i-think-im-in-love.html
Tuesday, April 5, 2011. I think I'm in love. Far from home, all alone, but we're so happy. No prizes for guessing here, I'm speaking of Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men. You'll perhaps remember that I posted a recorded home video for their track Little Talks. After exercising my googling skills to the full extent, here's a newish track of theirs called From Finner. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Groovin' the Moo @ Bendigo Showgrounds (30/04/11). I want that you are always happy. My Band's Better T...

turtle&co's music blog: Of Monsters & Men!
http://turtleandco.blogspot.com/2011/03/of-monsters-men.html
Sunday, March 6, 2011. Of Monsters and Men! Iceland. Wiki tells me it's renowned for its glaciers, snow fields and volcanos. But indie-folk? It seems so in my latest musical discovery 'Of Monsters and Men' (although credit must go to the hype machine/music blogs). Think Mumford and Sons mixed with Boy and Bear, and a touch of Edward Sharpe and the Xx. Not a bad combination hey? Check them out for yourself, love bands that are that laid back and can sound so good in their lounge room. Et Musique Pour Tous.

turtle&co's music blog: Groovin the moo map & set times
http://turtleandco.blogspot.com/2011/04/groovin-moo-map-set-times.html
Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Groovin the moo map and set times. The set times and maps for regional Australia's biggest music festival Groovin the Moo. Have finally been released! Whilst many would be hoping that organisers have learned their lesson after last year's debacle, the latest release makes me think that may be wishful thinking. One has to question the idea of starting festival drawcard The Jezabels. You can check out the set times for Bendigo here. Stay tuned for a full review after the festival.

The Mad Notes: July 2010
http://the-mad-notes.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, 17 July 2010. Predominantly known for his (rather bloody good) covers of contemporary British acts such as Marina and the Diamonds, Ellie Goulding, and Delphic, David's Lyre. Has shown that he's even more adept when it comes to composing original tracks. Heartbeat. David's Lyre - Heartbeat. Friday, 16 July 2010. Is a cool as fuck collaboration between Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast. Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend. Fame, and Kid Cudi. Wednesday, 14 July 2010. Written in stages between a b...
