Spring balls and happy weight loss | My Bariatric Journey UK

https://mybariatricjourneyuk.wordpress.com/2015/05/10/spring-balls-and-happy-weight-loss

My Bariatric Journey UK. A blog about the journey of having a bariatric bypass in the UK. Spring balls and happy weight loss. I went to a Spring Ball last month with my hubby and we had a lovely picture taken of us both. Although in the media’s eyes I am no skinny minnie – to me I’m the best I’ve ever been. I got weighed the other day (rare occurrence) and I have now lost 8 kilos since I was discharged from the consultant. I am the smallest I have been in 30 years and I am 3 years post op. See you soon x.

Goodbye dietician | My Bariatric Journey UK

https://mybariatricjourneyuk.wordpress.com/2014/08/15/goodbye-dietician

My Bariatric Journey UK. A blog about the journey of having a bariatric bypass in the UK. I went to see the dietician at the hospital today. It was my last time unless I have problems and then I can be re-ferred. The dieticians at St Lukes, Bradford are lovely and so supportive. It was sad to say goodbye but the dieticians do come to some of the Bradford Bariatric support group who meet the last Wednesday of every month from 6pm – 8pm so I’m sure I’ll see them again. See you soon x. THE picture →. Fill i...

2.5 years down the line | My Bariatric Journey UK

My Bariatric Journey UK. A blog about the journey of having a bariatric bypass in the UK. 25 years down the line. Well, I weigh less than when the surgeon signed me off 6 months ago – not by much, and not really by choice. ‘Fred’ is playing up and has been for the last 7/8 days. Either any food I eat ‘doesn’t work’ so I don’t eat it or I can eat a bit and then I get tummy ache ouch! See you soon x. This entry was posted on December 15, 2014, in Bariatric Journey. Long time no see | My Bariatric Journey UK

https://mybariatricjourneyuk.wordpress.com/2014/12/01/long-time-no-see

My Bariatric Journey UK. A blog about the journey of having a bariatric bypass in the UK. Long time no see. I haven’t been posting on here for awhile but I was away on my delayed honeymoon and then aches and pains and life took over. I haven’t put weight on but I know I’m slipping into bad habits so I’m having a good go at going back to basics for a few days to kick start my pouch into being restrictive again. Possibly soup for lunch and oxo drinks; skinny latte and low sugar juice throughout the day.

My Bariatric Journey UK. A blog about the journey of having a bariatric bypass in the UK. Whilst I remember…. I found some old trousers of mine from before the op. 2.5 years later I get to do the pic we all want to do – me in one leg of the trousers that, at the time, were a bit too tight around the waist and hips to say the least. Oh what a brilliant feeling. Makes all the ‘dumping’ and icky-ness soooooo worth it. See you later xx. This entry was posted on September 15, 2014, in Bariatric Journey. Just ...

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Another one if the Rosemary Salmon. Take some rosemary and mix it with olive oil let stand for a few days. Then take the Salmon and cover it with the rosemary olive oil. Sprinkle some bread crumbs on and bake at 350 until done. Make some aspargus or another veggie and you are good to go. The Salmon is flaky and will go down very easy won't be a problem with the band. My Bariatric Journey

Wednesday, November 17, 2010. 3 Months come and gone. On August 17th I underwent the RXY gastric bypass surgery. I am happy to say that, even with some small complications, I have been doing very well. I can also now run a mile in 12 minutes 16 seconds. Again, not a professional or even exceptional rate, but for a 321 lbs man - it is a pretty good feat. I can sprint at 9 mph and I can get a 5k run (3.2 miles) done in under an hour. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. So what did they do? I was put on a clear liqu...
