A Day In The Life. Were the musicians hip to the Beatles or were they just earning a sessions pay? Is he starting a "one" countdown or did he just make a mistake and start singing too soon? Or the end of the song with the tape loop playing a mish mash of reoccuring of noises and vocal non sequitars? I'm glad they weren't on the versions that I listened to for the first 20 years. Was there previously a pop song that was this introspective? What would John want it to sound like? Again a lead, melodic bass ...

A few things surprised me as I ranked my favorite songs. Let It Be", which I consider a terrific song, ranked relatively low. I can never listen to the Let It Be album and feel good because I know they were so unhappy during most of the recording. How about "Hello, Goodbye" near the bottom.and "This Boy", near the top. Of the 21 covers, only one, "Twist and Shout" is in the top 20. The rest are mostly near the bottom. Help" at number 2!

FREAKING FANTASTIC TORTILLA SOUP. 1 - 32oz box of chicken broth (I use Swanson 35% less sodium). 4 cups of water plus 1/4 cup of water. 2 large chicken breasts - I buy a rotisserie chicken and use those breasts. 1/2 package of Lawry's Fajita Seasoning. 1 small yellow onion. 2 Tbls of EVOO. 1 bag of frozen cut corn. 1 - 10oz can of Original Rotel. 1- 145 oz can of petite cut tomatoes.
