Life in the Land of Labs: December 2007
http://musingsfromtheleftcoast.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 20, 2007. I am officially “The World’s Worst Blogger”. This is my new title. Why? When I stopped writing on vacation, we had just left Malaga and were sailing towards Cadiz, Spain. The port of Cadiz is about 60 miles from the Spanish city of Seville and that’s where we were heading. We had booked a full day of touring and were planning to tour and shop and see the sights. Definitely a day to run and see and do until you drop. And we did. We spent time in a large garden that represented...

Tuesday, December 30, 2008. You Know You’re Getting Old When:. 1 The bank tellers and other business people in your life look like high school students. 2 You think every lousy driver on the road is “some stupid kid”. 3 On New Years Eve you’d rather stay home, eat snacks, watch movies and be with your family instead of going to a party. 5 After you sit for too long in one spot, when you get up, you creak and kind of “crip” along for a while until everything “loosens up” again. 10 In shoes and clothing, C...

Life in the Land of Labs: August 2007
http://musingsfromtheleftcoast.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Sorry I have been ignoring you my dear blog readers and Internet friends. You are very important to me and I don’t want you to feel neglected. However, it’s the first week of school and my life, at the moment, is a zoo, so please forgive me. I will be back to my regular writing very soon. Meanwhile, just short blurbs for a week or two. 8221; to “do you know where the bathroom is? 8221; to “what do you think I should major in? 8221;, I’ve been just a tad busy. Links to this post.

Life in the Land of Labs: September 2007
http://musingsfromtheleftcoast.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2007. As promised, here it an update on playing glowball in the dark. This was a first for me. I’ve never played golf at night and just assumed the course would be lit up along with fluorescent balls and other well lighted accessories. Oh no I was dreaming. The balls glowed. The flag on the green glowed. The brightly colored neon strips on my clothes, around my neck, perched on my head and all over my cart…they glowed. The course? All tee boxes and greens pretty much looked the same.

Wednesday, January 7, 2009. In Minnesota They Play Golf In The Snow With Colored Balls. I play golf a lot. At least once a week. That’s once a week twelve months a year. Remember, I live in Southern California. Even when the weather is slightly insane (remember the snow? It always goes back to “normal” which is warm, sunny and mild. The big golf clothing decision is usually shorts? Where it’s cold and rainy, or maybe snowy, and the golf courses close down for months at a time? I can’t imagine not d...

I told you I love to eat. Anyone mentions “new product” and I immediately think of food. So, here we go again…. So, the other day I was shopping at Costco (I do LOVE that store) and I was wandering around in the frozen food section when I noticed this box:. The first one came out of the box looking like this:. I love to eat!

Friday, January 4, 2008. A New Years Meme. What did you do in 2007 that you’d never done before? Went to Europe. Went to places I’ve never been and saw sights I’ve never seen. It was a revelation. I’m not sure what I expected, but it was so similar to being here only just a bit different. Different languages, narrower streets, strange flush mechanisms on their toilets, but in essence, people are people. Not much difference. 3 Did anyone close to you give birth? 4 Did anyone close to you die? November 20&...
