My Breast and I. Thursday, October 31, 2013. To day na today ooooo! I am on my way to have this lump of cancerous tissue removed from my left breast. I have received so much support and love from my family, friends; the prayers have been raining down and flooding. I am so grateful! I have been asked; why are making this public? My answer: am I supposed to be ashamed of talking about it? Will it be the "scarlet letter"? Ignorance is not bliss. I will talk about it because this is not something to hide.

My Breast and I. Monday, December 16, 2013. In a few hours, in approximately 6.5 hours, I'll be going to get my newest accessory. I'll be getting a port inserted into my upper chest wall. That will be the route I will receive chemo for over the next several weeks. It's quarter to midnight. I have to be at the hospital by 6 am. I should be sleeping but I can't. I'm not nervous about the procedure. It's minor. I'm nervous about the days, the weeks, the months to come. My beautiful traditional attires?
