My dry mouth is pretty much gone as is my sore throat. My nausea from yesterday is pretty much gone and I am eating as usual. My Breast Reduction Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Day of the Surgery. My surgery went very well! My doctor was able to leave my nipples attached (sometimes the nipples have to be completely removed and reattached as a skin graft) and I did not have to have drains placed. I had a total of 5.9 pounds removed! My surgery was scheduled at 7:30am. The surgery lasted about 2 hours. I spent 2 hours in recovery and I was home by lunch! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. It feels like an extreme version of the kind of pain you get when you first start getting boobs, or right around your period. Overall I am very happy, but as you can probably tell from the title, I am disappointed about something. I’ll get to that later. Showering has gotten easier, but is still an ordeal.
