Had to have a small procedure last week, which meant I had to stop taking anti-inflammatories the week before as they can increase the amount of bleeding and bruising, and guess what? I could manage to walk, but my plan to do cardio and upper and lower strength workouts was ruined. Still, I hobbled over to the gym, and got in the upper-body part of the workout. Later in the day, my knee was perfectly fine. Is it just me, or is RA a bit like a two-year-old child throwing random tantrums? A Tale of Survival.

I was puzzled when she said that because my rheumatologist had referred me to her with the request that she send me to a specialist for my cholesterol since the Actemra (tocilizumab). Infusions would likely increase my borderline levels. A figure that clearly indicated I'm in the low-risk category. Ben and Jerry's, here I come!

Bumps, battles and blessings. Wednesday, March 20, 2013. I want a new drug.Take 2. So it has been a really long time since I have done the blogging thing. I heard so many encouraging words from so many of you, and then, I stopped. What is wrong with me? It was and is such a release and the best therapy. So I will start again, today! How about right where I left off-. Radiation- I finished my 32 days of radiation and a week later was said to be cancer free. Think of it this way-. I am a very proud mom.
