It was my first 'invitation' as a then professional runner. I'll never forget the emotional charge I felt from this race. I could not help but cry and feel strong at the same time. Today, two years later, I was relieved to know the name of that sudden and seconds-lasting electrical shock I felt in my neck, limb and spine during chemo because it makes me feel more common and less strange.
